IT was a tough day for all four of St Helens’ National Conference teams.
In the Premier Division Thatto Heath were thrashed 70-6 at home to Rochdale Mayfield and Pilkington Recs are on the bottom after losing 38-20 at Myton.
In Division 1 Blackbrook lost 28-18 at Hull Dockers.
A disappointing second half confined Clock Face Miners to a 32-10 defeat away Eastmoor Dragons.
Eastmoor opened the scoring on five minutes when they went over close to the sticks and slotted over an easy conversion.
However, Clock hit back 10 minutes later when Jack Highcock intercepted and raced 90m to score and duly converted his own try.
Clock then took the lead on 30 minutes when good hands put Tom Taylor in out wide, the conversion was missed. But, Eastmoor hit back with a late first half try to take a 12-10 half time lead.
That unfortunately was the end of Clock’s scoring as Eastmoor went on to score 20 unanswered second half points.
