ST HELENS Sutton AC had 12 athletes competing in the second match of the YDL Upper league at Stockport.

For the U20s men George Asson ran a personal best 100m in 11.00secs, then a 22.90s 200m and threw a 17.68m. (PB) in the javelin.

Daniel Lamb also ran a PB in the 100m (11.10secs.), long jumped 6.30m and shot 8.26m. Jonathan Causer ran 24.10s in the 200m and 53.80s in the 400m, and then shot 11.16m, a PB and a club record.

The club’s U20 women were Jess Leonard who ran 27.60s in the 200m, had a 8.55m shot put, threw 13.32m in the javelin and 14.54m. in the discus having never thrown javelin or discus before.

Erin Makin ran a 14.10s 100m, 29.40secs in the 200m, had a 5.77m shot putt and long jumped 4.17m.

For the U17s Michael Farr ran 11.90s in the 100m and 24.4secs in the 200m, Daniel Dobson long jumped 4.72m. and ran 58.10s in the 400m.(PB).

Peter Davies ran 400m in 60.2secs, threw 8.47m PB in the shot and 15.54m in the discus.

In the U17 Patrick Neafcy clocked a 13.40secs 100m and the 200m in 30.0 and Steven Mayston ran a PB in the 1500m of 5 min.35.4 s and the 800m in 2 min.53.4 and shot 5.47m.

For the U17s, Lauren Marshall ran the 100m in 14.2s, long jumped 4.02m and shot 5.14m. and Kaitlin Naylor in the U17’s ran the 100m. in 14.4secs. and long jumped 3.59m.
