SAINTS look set to face a Warrington Wolves side missing their leading try scorer on Friday.

Winger Tom Lineham, one of few players showing form for rock bottom Warrington so far this season, has been hit with an RFL disciplinary charge.

Lineham was sin-binned in Thursday’s 22-8 loss to Leigh Centurions for striking home full-back Ryan Hampshire after he was obstructed when trying to chase a loose ball.

After the incident was looked at by the RFL’s Match Review Panel, Lineham was hit with a Grade C striking charge, which carries a ban of between two and three games as part of its recommended sanction.

Wolves do have Stefan Ratchford returning to the fold this week for the first time this year and it is possible he will start at full back, leaving youngster Jack Johnson to switch to the wing in place of Lineham.

Much could depend on the availability of St Helens-born Kevin Brown for The Wire too.

Stand off Brown, signed in the close season from Widnes Vikings as the replacement for Chris Sandow, was knocked out in that same fifth straight Super League loss.

His absence could mean Ratchford being required in the halves, or a start in that key area for Dec Patton or fellow rookie Harvey Livett.

In this week's other disciplinary action, Centurions second rower Glenn Stewart is set to be banned for the high tackle that left Brown out cold.

Stewart was yellow-carded for the incident in the 47th minute at Leigh Sports Village and receives a Grade C charge, meaning he too could miss up to three games.

Both players have the option of an Early Guilty Plea.

Meanwhile, Warrington's ex-Saint Andre Savelio has escaped a charge after two incidents involving him, a 54th-minute late tackle on Leigh's Ben Reynolds and use of the knees against Adam Higson as the winger scored in the 62nd minute, were reviewed.
