ON Saturday 7 January, 23 St Helens Striders turned out for the Merseyside County Cross Country Championships held at Sherdley Park.
This is a tough cross country course and it was good to see such a good turn out for a local event.
First male Strider to finish the Men's 10k route was Jonjo Doherty in 47:29.
First female Strider to finish the Women's 5mile route was Kelly Hamilton 36:49.
On Sunday 8 January Eric Ranson and Stuart Tagg represented St Helens Striders in Preston at the Central Lancs Half Marathon.
Ranson was the first of the duo over the line in 1:32:17 with Tagg finishing in a time of 1:58:55.
