IN a bad tempered affair the Prescot men held firm against a barrage of Manchester fouls.

Prescot dominated from the off with goals from Doyle, Heaps and Jobes settling early nerves.

Two more from Doyle and Mortimer ended the contest before Manchester lost their heads and ended the game with nine players after various infringements. Prescot punished the opposition with Doyle and Mortimer completing hat tricks. With other results going in their favour Prescot now top Division Two having scored an impressive 50 goals in only nine games.

THE ladies dominated for long periods of the match against the league leaders and can be very proud of their efforts.

Some sloppy finishing in the first half cost Prescot as Crewe scored from their first penalty corner. In the second half more possession failed to get converted until Mel Heaps chipped inform the top of the D. Crewe then scored from a corner to take all three points.
