SAINTS have confirmed their squad numbers for the 2017 Super League season — with the list maybe giving a hint at Keiron Cunningham’s early thoughts on what his first choice 17 will be.
Most new numbers are obvious, with Theo Fages and Matty Smith wearing the six and seven shirts, and all the other new signings getting a number in the top 17.
Joe Greenwood moves into the XIII for the first time, taking the number 11 shirt vacated by Atelea Vea.
Hooker Tommy Lee will wear 17 — an indication that he is expected to have a good shot at spelling James Roby next term.
Although there is youth at the lower end, the senior members have almost 3,500 first grade games to their name with the top 21 players averaging 164 games each.
