THERE was a good turnout of St Helens Sutton A.C.’s senior ladies in the Mersey Tunnel 10km road race.
Rachel Beesley was the first finisher for the club in a time of 47 min.45 secs making her the thirteenth finisher in her age group (SL). Amy Corfield (L40) dipped under 50 minutes by 20secs making her 21st in her group.
Rachel Wilcock (SL) ran 50 min.31 secs and Laura Bunting (L50) finished sixth in her group with her time of 52 min.19 secs.
All four ladies were Ain the first quarter of the over 2,500 finishers.
Karen Harrison (L45) ran 59 min.31 secs and Dorothy Fairhurst (L70) was the first finisher in her age group with her time of 65 min.54 secs.
Janice Lawson (L60) was fourth in her group finishing in 67min.33 secs, Janice Makin (L45) ran 73 min.23 secs and Louise Hall completed the turnout clocking 81 min.15 secs.
