ATHLETICS is not only about the athletes but credit and recognition should also go to the army of volunteers who make the events happen.
St Helens Sutton AC is proud to have a number of volunteers who assist with time keeping and track and field judging.
One of those volunteers, Roger McCall, who was on duty at the London Olympics has been awarded a long service award for 40 years of officiating at the UK Athletics Officials Conference in Kenilworth.
