BROOK picked up their first points of the Season with a comprehensive 48-16 victory over a Dewsbury side who won on their last visit to Boardmans Lane.

Young stand off Ryan Houghton who impressed throughout broke clear to set up the position for the first try of the match.

Houghton was tackled just short of the line however Stephen Marsh found a neat pass to send Mark Webster to score. Webster was delighted to score his first try in two years having missed the whole of last season through injury.

The home side soon built up an 18-0 lead with tries from Stephen Marsh who reacted quickly to Greg Hale's chip through to touch down and Danny Fairhurst who stretched over following a strong run from Jon Glover.

Aaron Hewitt landed all three conversions.

The visitors responded with a try of their own through Josh Brook converted by Matty Sheridan.

Minutes later Brook regained their advantage when Chris Springford put in an astute kick for his winger Scott Lyon who also kicked the ball on before re-gathering and scoring in the corner with Hewitt adding a touchline conversion.

On the stroke of halt time Jermaine Akaidere scored an unconverted try for the visitors.

Ten minutes into the second period Scott Davidson who was returning from injury strolled over to score finishing off any thoughts Celtic had of a comeback and minutes later Joe Bate powered his way from close range.

Matty Sheridan added a consolation try and goal for the visitors before Brook wrapped the game up completely with late tries from Andy Tucker and Jon Glover.

Aaron Hewitt was immaculate with the boot adding all the conversions to his sides 8 tries.
