JONNY Lomax made a welcome return to action for the Saints reserves at Warrington on Saturday after spending 13 months on the sidelines.

Saints won 48-18 to maintain their unbeaten start to the campaign, with Lomax blasting off the cobwebs with a 25 minute spell at both full and half back.

Saints pack, led by Tony Suffolk, dominated the Wolves six to give a platform for Travis Burns, Danny Richardson and Tom Connick to create.

Although Wolves scored first through Danny Rascool, Richardson collected Burns' rebounding grubber off the posts to reply and was followed over the whitewash by Jonah Cunningham and Levy Nzoungou.

Richardson's 40/20 gave the platform to Saints for Ricky Bailey to score his first.

Wolves' Harvey Livett scored on the half time whistle after a string of penalties took their toll, but Bailey scored his second just after the restart after a fine break from Joe Greenwood.

Tom Connick, on for the injured Burns, touched down Richardson's last tackle grubber for another.

Saints passed the 40 point mark with a converted Greenwood try.

Jack Johnson pulled one back for the home side, but flying wing Regan Grace dived over in the corner.

Tommi Hughes scored the final try to wrap up a convincing victory.
