LEEDS Rhinos full back Zak Hardaker has been named the 2015 Steve Prescott Man of Steel.

Saints front rower Alex Walmsley and Adam Cuthbertson, also of Leeds, were runners up at the ceremony held this evening.

The 25-year-old prop was seeking to become Saints' first Man of Steel since James Graham won it in 2008.

Walmsley lifted his game to a new level in Super League XX and fully deserved the accolades coming his way being the competiotion's as top metre maker with 4,092, having most carries at 531 and making the second most tackle busts at 119.

His performances this term have brought him to the verge of an England call-up. 

Brian McDermott won the Super League Coach of the Year honour after guiding Leeds to the Challenge Cup, League Leaders Shield and to the Grand Final.

Young Player of the Year was Wigan stand off George Williams.

Leeds Rhinos won the Super League Club of the Year award, Warrington were handed the Club Foundation of the Year honour.

A number of former Saints players were among retiring players, who have made more than 200 appearances, given outstanding contribution awards - Ade Gardner, Paul Wellens and Lee Gilmour.

Walmsley was top metre maker, Hull's Danny Houghton made most tackles, Huddersfield's Jermaine McGillvary was top try scorer.

Commentator Eddie Hemmings was inducted into the rugby league Roll of Honour.
