ALTHOUGH Leeds are saying some high-profile farewells at Headingley tomorrow, the end of the season will also bring in a couple of Saints goodbyes.

Josh Jones and Mose Masoe will be heading off to pastures new as soon as the curtain comes down on Saints' year.

Both have had a big impact at the club and played key roles in Saints winning the Super League Grand Final last season.

Centre Jones is heading off to Exeter rugby union, while Masoe will swap the red vee of the Saints for that of St George-Illawarra.

Masoe, dubbed the Smiling Assassin, has had a big impact at Saints since joining from Penrith Panthers at the start of 2014.

And bar a bit of a tail off in the late summer, which saw him stood down for a couple of games, the Samoan powerhouse has been an ever present since first donning Saints colours.

Masoe, who will be replaced by Salford Red Devils Lama Tasi, will leave a big hole to fill.

His front row teammates were quick to pay tribute to Masoe's contribution on and off the pitch.

Hooker James Roby said: "Mose has had a great inpact at the club.

"He is not just physically a big footballer, but also a massive personality.

"He is just a big kid at heart and great to have around training as well as on the pitch.

"Every time you have any player leaving you want to send them off in the best possible way."

Masoe's fellow prop Alex Walmsley has seen at close quarters the destructive powers of the huge Samoan World Cup star - but also his warm characteristics off the field.

"I'll really miss Mose. Given the type of players we are we have not played much time on the field together at the same time.

"In our time together here we have always had a joke.

"He is an unbelievable person is Mose, he has been a great bloke and will be missed here massively.

"But he is certainly fired up to finish well, and so is Jonesy," Walmsley said.

Saints have signed Dominique Peyroux to replace Jones in the centres, with Lama Tasi coming into the front row.
