OULTON Raiders landed a potentially fatal blow to Thatto Heath's hopes of avoiding the drop with a narrow 16-10 triumph.

Despite already been relegated themselves the Raiders showed some real determination to win thanks to tries from loose-forward Dom Flanagan – who also added a couple of goals – and centre Adrian Holdsworth as all their points arrived in the second half.

Thatto held a slender 4-0 lead at half-time thanks to a try from centre Aaron Dancer, and must of through they’d done enough when Josh Crehan nipped over and Shaun Quinn improved matters.

However, it was not to be and the Crusaders side must now win their final game against Leigh Miners Rangers and hope results elsewhere go their way if they are to avoid relegation.
