THIS week's Star Saints Extra features a selection of pictures of the club's three-quarters from the 1970s and 80s.
Hopefully it will stir a few memories - so let us know your favourite recollections of the players from their time in the red vee.
Not all the images below are happy ones, but that is all part of the rich tapestry of supporting St Helens!
1. Mark Elia has the ball agonisingly poked from his grasp by Halifax loose forward John Pendlebury. The tackle cost Saints the Challenge Cup.
2 Welsh centre or wing Frank Wilson touches down against Bradford.
3. Gary Connolly celebrates with the Lancashire Cup after the 1991 triumph over Rochdale Hornets.
4. Anthony Sullivan was a flyer for Saints after arriving from Hull KR.
5. Kevin McCormack is nailed by Halifax full back Graeme Eadie during the 1987 Challenge Cup Final at Wembley.
6. Paul Loughlin congratulates Les Quirk after the big-striding Cumbrian wing had scored in the corner to beat Widnes and reach the 1989 Wembley final. See the disppointment of the Chemics player with his head in his hands.
7. (Below) Les Jones scoring one of his 283 tries in a distinguished career that spanned 1966-81.
