Thatto late rally not enough
WIGAN St Patricks did just enough to see off Thatto Heath Crusaders 26-22 in the National Conference League Premier Division.
Relegation-threatened Thatto produced a late rally, with second rower Dave Sutton leading the response with a brace with a brace of tries.
Ben Roberts, Louis Taylor and Aaron Dancer also crossed the whitewash and Tom Rigby was on target with a conversion but St Pats hung on for a ninth win of the year that leaves them a point behind leaders Rochdale Mayfield.
