ANDRE Savelio has signed a two-year extension at the Saints.
The exciting young forward’s deal will take him through to the end of season 2017.
“I’m happy to agree a deal,” he said. “I love playing with the group of lads we have at Saints and I am very grateful for the opportunity.
“I’ve had to work hard this year because I missed pre-season in 2014 because I was unwell.
"I had a lot of catching up to do but it has been good. I’m happy with how it has gone so far and I am grateful that Keiron (Cunningham) has given me the chance to play a number of first team games.
“Hopefully, we can win something again and do better than last season. I’d like us to retain the League Leaders’ Shield, go to Old Trafford once more and get to Wembley. We all know we have to work hard to make that happen.
“I just want to keep on playing, training and repay the faith the coach has in me.”
Savelio joined Saints from Latchford Albion and has been with the club since he was 14 - making a stunning debut against Leeds last season.
Since then he’s played a total of 21 games, scoring two tries.
He continued: “I’d like to thank Mike Rush for sorting the deal out and sticking by me as well as Keiron Cunningham. I’ve had some dark times over the last couple of years and they have both stuck by me. I owe them a lot.”
