MARTIN Murray will fight George Beroshvili on his super middleweight debut at Liverpool's Echo Arena on Friday, June 26.
The 32-year-old Fingerpost fighter, who has signed up with Barry Hearn’s Matchroom promotion team, classes the eight rounder as a 'tune up' fight.
It is Murray's first outing since his brave world title challenge against the invincible Gennady Golovkin in February.
His 23-year-old Georgian opponent boasts a record of 19 wins, five losses and two draws from 26 bouts.
Prior to his opponent being named Murray said: “It is not going to be big one, with it being a last minute thing, but those big ones will come further down the line.
“I am looking forward to the new weight and the division that I am in.”
Tickets for the huge night of action are priced at £40, £60, £80, £100 and £150 available from the Echo Arena website www.echoarena.com and on 0844 8000 400. VIP tickets at £250 are available exclusively from Matchroom Boxing at www.matchroomboxing.com and on 01277 359900.
