The St Helens Striders racing week started off in style on Tuesday at the Mystery 5k in Liverpool.

Jono Kirkman and Paul Demore represented the club, with Kirkman first Strider home in 19:47 followed by Demore in 20:55.

The following night a number of Striders travelled to Wigan to take part in the Haigh Hall 4 mile summer series.

Showing his consistenly good form Kevin Brennan was first Strider home in 24:17 followed by Chris Reid in 26:12, Les Abbott in 28:44, Tony Padmore in 28:53, Tony Dagnall in 31:06, Louise Read in 31:17, Carol Foster in 31:27, Nicola Howarth in 36:16 and Louise Padmore in 40:36.

On Saturday Mike Cox continued his run of personal bests completing the Eton Dorney triathlon in 1:46:31.

Whilst on Sunday Neil Rigby took part in the Chester half marathon finishing in a time of 1:44:30.

Scott Robertson travelled up to Scotland to take part in the Baker Hughes Aberdeen 10K completing it in 43:36.
