St Helens Tri have enjoyed a fruitful fortnight of results as the triathlon season approaches its peak.
Last Sunday Robert Chesters took part in the Market Drayton 10k aiming to break the 39-minute mark. In the event he went a step further clocking 38:00 setting a new PB over a minute while also placing inside the top 70.
At the Wilmslow triathlon the club scored two age group wins.
Longtime member Phil Ellison came third overall and won the M35-39 age category with a time of 1:08:23 which also included the fastest bike split of the day, while Jennifer Pybis, who joined the club at the start of 2015, put in a superb performance on the run stage to clock 1:29:50 and win the F25-29 group in her first triathlon.
