BLACKBROOK eased to victory with an 11 try romp against Castleford Panthers - seeing off the basement club 62-4.

The hosts opened their account in the fifth minute when from an attacking scrum Sean Richardson send Stephen Parkinson over in the corner.

Brook's prolific Wingman added a touchline conversion which was the first of his nine conversions of the afternoon.

Jordy Welsby scored Brook's next two tries firstly he latched onto a Craig Lyon pass to score wide out and five minutes later he fooled The Panthers defence as he feinted to kick on the last tackle before stepping his way under the posts to score.

The visitors briefly threatened to get back into the game when Second Rower Ryan Dysun forced his way over from close range.

Brook extended their advantage five minutes before the interval when Jon Glover forced his way over from close range after The Panthers had conceded successive penalties allowing Brook to build the pressure on their try line.

Brook was quick out of the blocks in the second period scoring three converted tries in the opening twelve minutes. Firstly Ste Marsh found Jimmy Brown in space who scampered by the posts to score. The home sides next score came following a length of the field run from Deon Cross he outpaced everyone as Brook launched a down field kick from deep inside their own half.

Cross was also involved in the next try his pass found Stephen Parkinson in space and he crossed for his second following a sweeping right to left move.

Scott Davidsons influence on the game was evident in Brooks next three scores. His break was supported by Callum Welsby who scored with ease wide out. The Panthers defence simply couldn’t him as he broke clear again this time he found Deon Cross in support who raced away to score.

Davidson was involved again making the initial hard yards before slick handling sent Brad Ramejkis over and in the final minute Ramejkis was on hand to take Jordy Welsby’s pass to score his second and complete the rout.

Stephen Parkinson finished the match with a 26 point haul.

Scott Davidson was the Betfred Man of the Match with Jordy Welsby taking the NW Maintenance Solutions Players Man of the Match.
