SAINTS are remaining tight-lipped on speculation in the Australian press linking the club with Sydney Roosters centre Shaun Kenny-Dowall.
The 27-year-old New Zealand test player is off contract at the end of the season, but it would be a massive coup if he switched to Saints and the Super League.
A powerful three-quarter, packing 16 stones into his 6ft 4 frame, Kenny-Dowall is a deadly strike player who has scored 96 tries in his 180.
He is a tough nut too, having played through the whole of Roosters’ 2013 NRL Grand Final victory over Manly – scoring a try - despite fracturing his jaw early in the match.
That injury forced him out of the 2013 World Cup.
Saints currently have Mark Percival, tipped as a future international, and Jordan Turner operating in the centres with Josh Jones flitting between the back row and three-quarters.
Although Saints chief executive Mike Rush has recently returned from a trip to Australia, the club have a policy of not commenting on transfer speculation and rumour.
