MARTIN Murray may have lost his world title clash against the awesome champion Gennady Golovkin a week ago, but he received a hero's welcome at Langtree Park ahead of last night's match.
The 32-year-old Fingerpost fighter was interviewed in front of the appreciative crowd ahead of the game and spoke of his desire to box at the Saints ground in the summer.
Murray said: "I feel ok, but I'm still gutted about the result.
"It feels good to be back after spending so long away from my family.
"I'll have a bit of a rest but then I am looking to getting back in the ring in July - hopefully here at Langtree Park."
Murray's stock as a boxer has never been as high after showing plenty of character in taking Golovkin further than he has gone before.
