SAINTS have beaten Wigan 28-12 in the friendly clash at Langtree Park.
Leading 22-0 at the break Saints had to weather a second half Wigan storm, when the visitors dominated territory and possession, to hold on.
First half tries from Joe Greenwood, Adam Swift, Atelea Ve and Tommy Makinson had put them in the driving seat.
But Wigan were more composed in the second half and their dominance of the ball finally told with tries from John Bateman and a soft one from Connor Farrell.
Saints withstood a succession of repeat sets - but finally made the Warriors blink.
They were then able to apply their own pressure which allowed Greenwood to grab his second to seal it.
