HOLLYWOOD actor Russell Cowe has indicated on Twitter that he is aiming to be at Langtree Park for his South Sydney Club’s World Club Challenge clash against the Saints.
The announcement is sure to add even more momentum to ticket sales for this mouth-watering clash, with the game on Sunday, February 22 heading for a 17,900 sell out.
In his tweet asks if supporters of other Super League clubs to turn out and back the Australian champions.
Crowe tweeted: “Aiming to be at St Helens for the WCC, will fans of other ESL teams don the red and green and turn up for South Sydney?”
The game is the culmination of what will be a massive sporting four days for the town of St Helens – commencing with darters Stephen Bunting and Dave Chisnall throwing at a packed Echo Arena in the Premier League on the Thursday.
The intensity in town will be at fever pitch come Saturday when all televisions will tune into Martin Murray’s World Middleweight title clash against Gennady Golovkin in Monte Carlo.
The World Club Challenge then takes place on the Sunday evening in what will be a cauldron like Langtree Park – with the men in the red vee aiming to send the star of Gladiator home empty handed.
