IN-FORM Saints prop Mose Masoe keeps his place in Samoa’s line-up as the Four Nations tournament enters its second weekend.

Masoe, who improved as his debut Super League season grew and flew Down Under with a Grand Final winning grin on his face, scattered England defenders in the build up to two tries before Samoa fell 32-26 to Steve McNamara’s men at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane at the weekend.

On that occasion, Saints teammate Paul Wellens – an assistant coach with England – had the last laugh on Masoe and ex-Saints scrum half Sean Long, who is assistant coach for Samoa.

This Saturday, Masoe is set for a 2013 World Cup qualifier repeat off the bench against New Zealand at Toll Stadium in Whangarei.

It was in the opening Group B game at The Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington 12 months ago that many Saints fans got their first glimpse of the destruction capability of the former Penrith Panthers star.

Meanwhile England, with ex-Saint James Graham again set to be captain, will aim to knock Australia – defeated 30-12 by the Kiwis – out of the tournament when they meet in Melbourne on Sunday (BBC2, 5am).

Young Saints hooker Matty Fozard made a try-scoring debut for Wales against France in Albi at the weekend. The 19-year-old, who made his Super League debut against Widnes Vikings last April, featured at loose forward for John Kear’s side in a 42-22 loss.

Widnes-born Fozard could be in line for selection again on Sunday in the ‘dead rubber’ against Ireland in Wrexham, with the tournament winners to come from the Scotland versus France clash in Galashiels on Friday night.

All Saints playing and backroom staff will be wearing O’Neills Sportswear branded clothing and professional kit as a result of a significant new partnership being announced.

The three-year deal will include a large range of retail wear made available for the club’s supporters O’Neills, whose motto is ‘The Choice of Champions’, are also going to refit the Saints Superstore at Langtree Park.
