SAINTS Community Development Foundation have teamed up with The Regenda Group to offer young people the chance to take part in Saints Summer Camp.

The Regenda Group, an independent North West housing and regeneration organisation, is funding places on Saints Summer Camp which will see the youngsters enjoy three days of Rugby League training before they play on the pitch at Langtree Park.

From Tuesday August 12 to Thursday August 14 (10am-3pm) boys and girls will learn the core skills of Rugby League at the stadium with the final day a meet and greet with the first team squad and coaching staff.

The group will also take part in multi-skills activities, healthy lifestyle sessions and Saints quizzes. The camp will finish with the boys and girls playing on the pitch at half-time of the Super League game between St Helens & Wakefield Trinity Wildcats on Friday August 15.

Steve Leonard, St Helens & Merseyside Rugby League Development Manager, said: "We are looking forward to hosting local young people for The Regenda Group Saints Summer Camp.

"The key focus this year for the Foundation is health and wellbeing and we are encouraging people within the community to make positive choices when it comes to diet and exercise."

The Regenda Group is a leading independent North West housing and regeneration organisation, managing more than 13,000 properties for rent or sale across the region and providing homes to 25,000 people and their families.

Regenda Neighbourhood Officer, Danni Hall, added: "The summer holidays are always such an exciting time for youngsters, so just imagine the added thrill for those who will get the chance to meet their rugby league heroes and have the opportunity of playing on the pitch at Langtree Park.

"Regenda is proud to be working in partnership with Saints to promote improved health and wellbeing across the area."
