RAYMOND VAN BARNEVELD and Stephen Bunting have been confirmed as PDC Wildcards for the Sydney Darts Masters event at the Hordern Pavilion from August 28-30.
The treble-header of World Series of Darts events will conclude with the second Sydney Darts Masters, which sees 16 players competing at the Hordern Pavilion in Moore Park.
Last month saw World Champion Michael van Gerwen, reigning Sydney Darts Masters champion Phil Taylor, Australian great Simon Whitlock, World Championship finalist Peter Wright, World Grand Prix runner-up Dave Chisnall and seven-time major champion James Wade confirmed as the first six PDC competitors for the tournament.
In addition, five-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld - the reigning Premier League Darts champion - and current Lakeside Champion Stephen Bunting have been confirmed as the two PDC Wildcards to compete in Sydney.
Bunting, also the current World Masters champion, moved onto the PDC circuit at the start of 2014 and won a UK Open Qualifier in February in only his second PDC event, and will follow up a UK Open appearance in March by making his BetVictor World Matchplay debut later in July.
Van Barneveld, meanwhile, was the 2013 Dubai Darts Masters runner-up to compatriot Michael van Gerwen, and also competed in the Sydney Darts Masters last summer.
