Two more wins under their belt for Vikings. On Tuesday they took on Crusaders and, batting first, declared on 12 with Di Thomas top scoring with 3 full rounders and four ½’s.
Three full rounders were added: one each from Michelle Rugby, Carolyn Slater and Tracie Cribbin and ½’s came from Di Kenny, Carolyn (2), Tracie, Bethan Hardiman (2) and Rachel Irwin (2).
In reply, Crusaders, managed one full rounder from Cheryl Duckworth and ½’s from Jen Graham (2); Cheryl (2); Lorna Brookes and Jackie Bailey.
Obliged to follow on, Crusades were held to two ½’s – one each from Lorna and Kayley Smith.
Final score 12:5 On Thursday they travelled to Haydock Cricket Club where, winning the toss, they put the home side in, holding them to one ½ from Carroll Whittaker.
In reply the visitors posted 9 with three full rounders and three ½’s from Di Thomas, one full and one ½ from Kate McDonnell; three ½’s from Emily Flaherty and one each from Julie Aspin, Michelle Rigby and Jackie Kenny.
In their second innings, Haydock had a lot to do but were held to 3½ with one full rounder from Gemma Hurst who also scored two ½’s and three ½’s from Janine Kilgannon. Final score 9:4
