Anthony Laffranchi progressing

SAINTS forward Anthony Laffranchi will play again after fears about his future were dispelled.
The former Australian Test prop damaged nerves in his arm at Castleford in early April and has not played since.
The Italian World Cup player had feared that his time was up, but he will see a specialist in the next few weeks and is likely to be fit to play shortly.
It is, however, likely to be his swansong for the Saints and seems destined to return to Australia at the end of the season.
Saints boss Nathan Brown said: “The way things are looking - he is definitely going to play again, whereas five weeks ago he definitely wasn’t.
“It will be his last season in England, but I am not sure whether he will want to go back home and go around again.
“Because he has missed so much footy this year he is obviously feeling fresh and really good.
“He is feeling hungry because he has missed the last three months.
“He is good to have around - he always works hard in training and has a smile on his face.”
Saints have a lot of good young forwards and Laffranchi’s input is helpful.
“We don't have a lot of older blokes, but the ones we have – Boof, Wello, Wilko and Willie Manu – are all very professional,” Brown said.
