KEL Coslett has been awarded a British Empire Medal in the Queen's Birthday Honours List.
The Club's Honorary Life President, who came north from his native South Wales in 1962, has received the award for services to Rugby League.
Coslett was a legendary player at the club, skippering the team to Wembley wins in 1972 and 1976, and still holds the record for most appearances and points.
He coached the team from 1980 to 1982, and then returned to perform a number of roles at the club.
The dual code Welsh international said: "I am proud, overwhelmed, excited and humbled by this award.
"To get something like this at my stage of life is superb. I have been here for more than 50 years and I'd like to thank the many people who have helped me along the way."
