BROOK comfortably eased themselves back into second spot in the league with a 10 try demolition of their York opponents.

Heworth arrived late due to major traffic problems soon found themselves on the scoreboard as Brook ran in three tries in the opening 12 minutes from Stephen Parkinson, Mark Webster and Joe Bate.

Mid way through the half Webster spotted a gap in the defence he broke clear from 30 metres and rounded the full back to add his second try.

On the half hour mark prop Bate added his second try after his outrageous dummy had the full back fooled to go under the posts for Parkinson to add an easy conversion.

Just before the break Callum Welsby crossed for his first try of the season and five minutes after the restart Jordy Welsby weaved his way over to score from close range.

Further tries came from Dave Scott, who broke from near half way, Jack Parker and Brook wrapped up the scoring through Tommy Cunningham.

Parkinson added his seventh conversion.

Joe Bate was selected as The Tisdalls Man of the Match with Jack Parker taking The NL Commercials Players Man of the Match.
