SAINTS powerhouse Sia Soliola has confirmed that the pull of his family back home are the reasons behind his decision to leave England at the end of the season.
The Kiwi and Samoan international has become a firm fans favourite in the red vee since joining from Sydney Roosters ahead of the 2010 season.
With his trademark hard carries and thunderous big hit, Soliola has made his presence felt in the thick of the action – and there has been no sign of that tailing off.
Soliola: “I have expressed to the club that I want to go back at the end of the year for family reasons.
“There is nothing this club could have done more – Eamonn, Rushy, Browny and Kez have been really understanding about it.
“Nothing has been sorted out at home yet but my manager is working on that and due time that will get sorted.
“I have really enjoyed my time here in St Helens and it was definitely a hard decision to make, seeing I have made a lot of friends here. But given the circumstances of my family being home and it just my wife and kid being here, it best suits that we go home.”
