ASHURST Bike Club are re-branding as ABC Triathlon and several members are responding by hitting peak form at just the right time.

Lee Stinch competed in the Liverpool Rock 'n' Roll Marathon on Bank Holiday Sunday and knocked over 17 minutes off his PB to go under the 3:30 barrier for the first time, finishing in 3:29:23.

The following weekend saw several excellent performances at sprint triathlon level. At the Cheshire Triathlon in Nantwich Robert Chesters enjoyed a very satisfactory day out, cutting over six minutes off his course PB from 2012.

Meanwhile, five members went to Rhyl for the Marine Lake Triathlon, and while Andrew Berry and Dominic Byrne placed inside the top 30.

Phil Ellison added yet another trophy to his long roll of honour, as he came out of the water in the top 10, before putting over two minutes into his rivals on the bike, and cruised to victory in 1:01:46.
