UNBEATEN Saints face a potential banana skin when they head to Belle Vue on Sunday with a squad hit by injury and suspension.

They will be without Luke Walsh, Alex Walmsley, Jordan Turner, Mark Percival, possibly Sia Soliola as well as Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook for the trip to West Yorkshire.

They face a Wakefield team that has hit some rich form in recent weeks, scoring a total of more than 100 points in their last two games.

Saints coach Nathan Brown is not taking Trinity lightly - and the job will be to stem the Trinity points machines.

He said: "You have to take your hat off to Richard Agar because when he first went to Wakefield he built up a side that could score points.

"But then they had to offload players again, but in a short period of time with a limited pick, he has brought in good players and been able to keep players he felt were important, like Ali Lauatiiti, Danny Kirmond and Dean Collis.

"He has an art of not spending money but getting a team together that can score points.

"They can score points - and any side that can score 50 points two weeks in succession is doing pretty well.

"When your attack is working well it takes pressure off your defence. It puts pressure on the opposition."

Apart from strike out wide, Wakefield have plenty of craft - a lot of it generated by ex-Leeds hooker Paul McShane and jack-in-the-box half Jarrod Sammut.

"McShane is a clever player who spent a lot of time at Leeds with canny players like Burrow, McGuire and Sinfield.

"He is another player who has points in him, he can kick for a try or run or pass for one too.

"Sammut too is another bloke with points in him. He is a real will'o the wisp who can chip on tackle two and catch it to score," Brown said.

The game kicks off at 3pm and is all ticket given the capacity restrictions at Belle Vue.
