SAINTS boss Nathan Brown saw positives and a few negatives in Friday’s fourth win on the spin against Hull KR.

The men in the red vee turned on the style to take a 12-0 lead, but they were soon pegged back.

In his post match conference Brown said:"We led 12-0 and then we dropped the ball with the line open and went into a similar mode to the Hull game and just kept dropping the ball and gifting them possession on our line.

"To come in at 12-all at half time we were quite lucky.

"We were desperate for half time - if that game had kept going in the first half we were in some trouble.

"They had all the ball and field position and they have a lot of big forwards and their halves are competent.

"We just gifted them too much opportunity in the first half.

"The second half when we nailed down they struggled to come with us.

"Second half was brilliant - we got some good field position and Walshy came up with some nice kicks and big Al got his try.

"It was just good the way we went about it in that first 20 minutes of the second half."

On Mose Masoe’s debut, he commented: "Mose needs to play and train.

“That is the key and it will take his game six to eight weeks to get to where he played back home. The only way is to play and train, play and train. "The good thing is he will have worked out Super League is a tough game, not easy, and the Hull KR forwards definitely queued up for him and were going in in big numbers when he carried the ball.

"They made it difficult for him and did a good job on him, but Mose knows he has a bit of work to do. But we were happy with his work tonight and look for gradual improvements over the next four or five weeks."

Brown praised his fast back three: "Both the wingers are playing terrific.

"Swifty and Tommy, with Jonny Lomax at the back have been three of our most consistent players."
