Scott Davidson led the way a hat trick of tries as Brook registered an emphatic win at York in their first away game of the Season.

The visitors opened the scoring after only six minutes of the contest a penalty gave Brook possession close to the home sides try line. Davidson and Callum Wesley both went close before Danny Fairhurst switched play to the right where Jack Parker cut inside his opposite number to score an unconverted try.

On the Ten minute mark Brook increased their lead Heworth tried to clear their half with a kick only for Jordy Welsby to charge the kick down he collected the loose ball and raced away under the posts to score with Stephen Parkinson converting.

Brooks impressive start to the game continued another penalty set up another attack close to the try line a quick tap saw and good work from Darren Forshaw set up the position for Scott Davidson to cross for the first of his tries with Parkinson again converting.

Just before the half hour Brook had an attacking scrum close to Heworth try line. It was the Fairhurst and Parker combination that worked again as Centre Jack Parker crossed for his second try with Parkinson again adding the extras.

Just before the interval Heworth got on the scoreboard when a kick on the last tackle sailed into the corner for Ben Stoker to collect and score an unconverted try.

Brook who lost a sixteen point lead last time out knew a positive start to the second half was important. Five minutes into the half Scott Davidson burst through from forty metres out when he raced clear of the defence and rounded the Full Back to finish in style under the posts with Parkinson again converting.

Minutes later Mark Webster used his strength to release his arms out a tackle to stretch out and score under the posts leaving Parkinson with an easy conversion and finishing off any hopes Heworth had of a comeback.

Hooker Josh Poulter pulled one back for the home side with a close range try converted by Adam Caddie.

Tries were now coming thick and fast and Brook ran in two converted tries in the space of three minutes.

Firstly Scott Davidson completed his hat trick taking a pass from Jordy Welsby and then a solo try from Jordy Welsby who weaved his way over direct from a scrum twenty metres from the try line. Chris Taylor scored a consolation try for the home side before a cracking try from the visitors completed the Afternoons entertainment.

Davidson released a pass to Greg Hale who sent Stephen Parkinson away down the left he raced clear and drew the Full Back before returning an inside pass for Hale to touch down in the corner.

Scott Davidson collected both the Tisdalls Man of the Match and The NL Commercials Players Man of the Match just ahead of Jordy Welsby.
