After an extended break of 4 weeks due to bad weather it was good to get back playing again, There was a mixture of League and Cup games being played on Saturday 22 Feb.

In the Hospital Cup Premier Division side Penlake eliminated Old Congs to the tune of 4-0, in the DH Griffith Cup Sutton Heath enjoyed a 2-6 away win at Sankey Vale In the Premier Division Bold Rangers and West Park shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw at Bold Miners, Bowling Green had a good win away at Prescot Sun Inn 2-6.

In the Tom Worrall Cup the much awaited game between Sutton Junction and Eccleston Athletic produced a 9 goal humdinger at Sutton High with the visitors taking a 4-5 win to send tem through.

In the R&G Trophies sponsored Division One there was a good win for Carborudum 3-4 at leaders Wheaty whilst Prescot Res and Penlake Res shared the spoils with a 3-3 draw.

In Division Two Rockware just pipped Boilermakers 3-5 at Parr Stocks, Mossbank had a tight 4-3 win against Sutton Junction Resand Sidac Socialwon by the same sore 4-3 against Prescot Sun A. Clock Face Miners enjoyed their away day by beating Waterside 1-6.

County Champions Newstreet Fc have again reached the Liverpool County Junior Cup Final which is to be played in April, our best wishes go to them in hopefully defending the cup they won last season.
