THE St Helens Combination started its new League season on Saturday.
In the Premier Division newly promoted Bowling Green hit York for six away from home (1-6).
Newstreet also had a six-goal win by beating Prescot Sun ( 6-0).
West Park and Parr Cons shared the spoils with a 3-3 draw and Penlake beat Bold Rangers 3-1 at Bold Miners.
In Division One Clock Face Miners won 2-0 at home, Sutton Junction had a 3-1 away win at Eccleston, Knowsley South and Carborundum shared the spoils with a 4-4 draw.
Mere beat Sumner Street 5-3 at home, Wheaty also scored five in their 5-3 away win at Newstreet Res and Penlake Res had a solid 4-0 home win.
In Division Two; Newboys Boilermakers Arms had a 3-2 home win against Sidac Social, Old Congs enjoyed a 5-3 home win against Clock Face Res, Prescot Sun A and Rockware scored 11 goals between them with Prescot winning 7-4 and Sutton Junction Res and Mossbank shared the spoils with a 3-3 draw.
The League in conjunction with the St Helens Referees Society will be holding a referees course for anyone wanting to take up the whistle.

The League has retained its Charter Standard Accreditation for another three years and with it all clubs in the league have also attained Charter Standard Club Accreditation, many thanks go to all clubs, management committee alike into contributing towards this award.
