AFTER opening up a 20-6 half-time lead PILKINGTON RECS made the game safe as they ran out 32-6 winners over CROSFIELDS.

Kyran Knapper was a standout performer with a try and four goals, whilst Ben Gravener, Barry Pope, Owen Livesey, Kel Duffy and Jamie Smith added further touchdowns.

The visitors could only manage a try from Ben Mellor and a conversion from Jack Reid in response.

BLACKBROOK staged a great comeback to edge past WOOLSTON ROVERS 36-22.

The St Helens side were 18-0 behind after 30 minutes of the contest but inspired by a brace from Mark Leonard they hit back.

Thomas Cunningham, Greg Hale, Kyle Smith and Ste Marsh added further four-pointers whilst the boot of Stephen Parkinson contributed six goals.

Rovers – who were still in front with eight minutes left – crossed for four tries of their own with James Rosson, Bill Maunders, Scott Davidson and Troy Brophy the men to touchdown, three of which were improved by Daniel O’Brien.KELLS cruised to their third straight win with an 86-0 destruction of PETERLEE PUMAS.

The Cumbrians ran in 15 tries in a one-sided affair with Scott Lofthouse and Connor Holliday completing hat-tricks.

Craig Benson grabbed a brace and Ryan Rob a try and seven goals as the home side continued to set the pace at the top of the table.

Ross Gainford – a try and six goals – was also amongst the points as Gary Johnstone, Lewis Smith, Ryan Watson, Martin O’Neil and Barry Boyd also cross the whitewash.

COVENTRY BEARS notched their first win in the NCL following a 24-10 success over HINDLEY.

The Bears led 10-0 at the break and made sure of the win thanks to tries from Andy Cooper (2), Ross Bayston and Dave O’Connor, plus goals from Ste Coleman (3) and Ryan Gowling.

The Wigan side did muster a reply with tries from Paul Hersnip and Rob Bailey, one of which was improved by Andy Wright.

UNDERBANK RANGERS claimed their first win of the campaign thanks to a 28-0 victory over HEWORTH.

The visitors suffered the double sin-binning of Dan Walton and Rich Rogers and Rangers took full advantage.

Courtney Allette (2), Craig Williams, Dan Forrand and Sam Hendricks were the men to touchdown, whilst James Usher tagged on four conversions.

FEATHERSTONE LIONS came out on top with a 17-8 win over WIGAN ST CUTHBERTS.

Richard Frankland was a star performer with a try, two goals and field-goal, whilst Josh Blackmore and Davi Garahan added further tries.

For St Cuthberts – who trailed just 6-0 at the interval – Cain Thompson and Matthew Charnock notched tries in the second half.
