Vulcan First Team travelled to Earlstown Athletic in the local derby and came away with a 2-0 win which keeps them in the running for the league title.
Craig Dearden scored both goals which earned him both the Managers and Players Man of the Match Awards.
This was a fine performance from all players and Manager Phil Smith was delighted with the hard fought win.
Vulcan Reserves took on Eagle JFC Reserves, who were 2nd in the league at start of play, and turned in a brilliant performance to win 4-3, scoring the winner with a minute left in the game.
Ryan Coker scored all 4 goals and was deservedly awarded Managers and Players Man of the Match.
Manager Tom Davidson was extatic with the win.
Vulcan first Team have a week off next week with the Reserves playing Haydock 3rds at Mesnes Park, 3p.m. kick off.
