THERE are four St Helens players in the provisional 28-man BARLA Great Britain squad for next autumn’s tour to Australia.

The players will begin training on Saturday December 29 at Featherstone Lions ARLFC, in preparation for the tour, which commences in September and includes a trip to the NRL Grand Final.

Changes may be made to the squad ahead of departure as the coaching team of Paul Crarey and Tony Spence assess all eligible players.

The four are Pilkington Recs duo Ryan Rogers and Danny Lynch, Blackbrook’s Steven Marsh and Thatto Heath’s Anthony Bate.

The team opens its campaign with a clash against Championship outfit Barrow Raiders on January 13.
