ST HELENS boxer Craig Lyon fights on enemy soil tonight when he faces Frenchman Anthony Settoul for the EU European bantamweight title.
After eight months out of the ring, the 30 year-old former English champion fights the French title holder on his home patch of Clermont-Ferrand, Puy-de-Dôme.
Two-times ABA winner at light flyweight, Lyon has lost just once in 15 paid contests so far, that being the loss to Ryan Farrag in Prizefighter a year ago.
The 25-year-old Frenchman’s record is similar, with 13 wins and two defeats but he comes into this bout off the back of four straight wins.
But Lyon, son of former double Olympian and eight times ABA champion John, goes in confident of bring home the belt.
