Diamonds fly flag for Combination

DIAMONDS are flying the flag for the St Helens Combination with a 4-1 home win.

A brace of goals from Dean and Melville saw them progress into the Semi Finals of the LCFA Junior Cup.

Bold Rangers will try next week after their postponement.

In the Premier Division only 2 games survioved the inclement weather; Rainford and St Helens Town Res had a 0-0 stalemate whilst Prescot Sun just edged out Parr Cons 5-3.

In the RG Trophies sponsored Division One Bowling Green keep up their 100% record with a narrow 2-1 win against Sutton Heath, Old Congs went down 3-5 at home to Prescot Reserves; Brown Edge and Sumner Street shared the points and goals with a 3-3 draw.

Lions Grove had their shooting boots on with a 1-8 demolition of Mossbank whilst West Park and Knowsley South shared a 1-1 draw.

In Division Two; Legion had a good 3-0 home win against Clock Face Reserves and Working Mens hung on for a 3-2 home win against leaders Sutton Manor.
