THATTO Heath hit back from conceding two early tries to record a victory over the Warrington side.

Andy Lea went over for Heath’s opener and then a loose Rovers pass saw Thatto intercept and race almost the length of the field where Paul Rigby was on hand to go over. Chris Frodsham added the conversion to put his side into the lead for the first time.

On the half hour Thatto increased their advantage when Phil Asson went over for a try and then Anthony Bates went over for another which Frodsham, both goaled before Rovers replied.

However, on the stroke of half time Thatto once again intercepted a Rovers pass and went 70 metres for Andrew Cropper to score.

Frodsham gave his side a 28-12 interval lead.

Rovers came out strongly in the second half with an early try and when Thatto were reduced to 12 men they used the extra man with two further tries puting the hosts into the lead but that was short lived as Anthony Bates scored a try that Owen Scholes added the extras.

Frodsham raced 60 metres to score another interception but immediately Rovers responded with another try. Frodsham’s drop goal was the final act of the game
