Herbs will add some flavour to your meals
Monday 9th January
Well today I start the PB Fitness programme, don’t quite know what I am getting myself into and really worried about tonight’s session, with weigh in and measurements.
I know I want to lose weight and change the shape of my body but really worried about the type of exercise and fitting it in with work and two small children and changing our diet to suit the programme but also keep the children happy.
Following our visit to PB fitness tonight, I am a little more informed as to what I have let myself into. A little upset about my weight and the fact that I appear to be the heaviest lady in the group but I suppose this should give me the kick I need to give it a good go!
After various photos and measurements taken (of which I appear to have the smallest measurements of the ladies group, the explanation is I must have big bones!), we did a short fitness test which was hard but we still had a laugh doing it (through gritted teeth).
Tuesday 10th January
No PB fitness today so I cycled to work and back 3 miles to work and 3 miles home really enjoyed it. Followed the diet sheet. Had a lovely beef and salad sandwich on gluten free bread for lunch in work and despite all the comments that gluten free bread is yak it was not that bad at all! Nor was the soya milk on the porridge this morning manageable!
Spag Bol for tea for all the family made with tinned tomatoes and no Dolmio, kids not that impressed will need to add some flavour for them next time, Ste Cooper advised herbs and garlic and onions and even carrots to put a little flavour in it for them.
I did not have any gluten free pasta so I used rice instead.
Wednesday 11th January
Managing the porridge in a morning, I make it in the microwave and then get the kids dressed for school and then I can eat it as it has cooled a little by then.
I made the homemade ham soup last night so I have brought that to work for lunch.
PB fitness after work today a really hard session but I really enjoyed it, 10 reps of 5 different exercises for 25 mins and then a finisher – that nearly finished me off!!!
As we had mince left from the Spag Bol last night I made homemade burgers, which was just the mince and half an egg mixed together and it made 4 burgers which I had with a massive salad, the kids even loved them!
Bonus!
Thursday 12th January
Had a rest from exercise today but still following the food plan. I do not work on a Thursday so I managed to have the cooked breakfast for lunch, bacon boiled egg tomatoes and mushrooms, really enjoyed this.
For tea we found a joint of Topside Beef which had been reduced in Tesco so despite it not being on the menu I made this with just loads of vegetables.
Friday 13th January
Still managing the food plan, porridge, fruit, had a prawn salad for tea.
Had my PB session in the afternoon today and was in and out within the hour, really thrilled as I had lost 2lb since Wednesday, that’s good for me would be happy for a loss of this each week.
Saturday 14th January
Oh dear I have let myself down today, I missed breakfast rushing to Ballet and swimming with the kids and then promised the kids a Mcdonalds and because I was so hungry I had 6 chicken nuggets arrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
So mad with myself! Was good all day then had lots of fruit and had chicken and loads of veg for tea. Decided to give myself a telling off and made up my own ¾ hour routine like that Ste Cooper had given us in the week and did it at home when the kids where in bed.
Sunday 15th January
Remembered breakfast today porridge a good start to the day, fills me up for hours. Went to Zumba at Queens Park today a new session of Zumba managed to get a baby sitter for an hour, I am very sore today but Zumba loosened me up a bit.
We also went to Victoria park with the kids on the bikes in the afternoon for 2 hours cycling round, freezing by the time we got home!
Had a Sunday dinner today but left off the potatoes and just had loads of veg.
Monday 16th January
Looking forward to the weigh in and session tonight as I am not feeling as stiff as yesterday.
