SEAN Kirk from Carmel College has been chosen from a host of nominees to be Merseyside Company Programme Student of the Year 2013.
Carmel has been taking part in the North West Company Programme Young Enterprise competition.
Fifteen teams from 10 schools vied to take home the top prize of best company, after taking part in a Young Enterprise scheme to set up and run their own businesses for a year with the help of business mentors.
Sean stepped up midway through the year to control and move forward the college’s company in an positive manner. His company ‘colleagues’ and teaching staff speak very highly of Sean’s achievements.
Link teacher Peter Murphy said: “Sean is someone who continually puts the team first and works his hardest for the team.
“He does it with a smile on his face.
“He has never complained once when something hasn’t gone his way and is completely humble in how he conducts himself.’’
