STAR photographer Bernard Platt snapped the army of Saints fans who marched in support of the club's proposed new stadium.
The show of support saw hundreds of fans march from Victoria Square in St Helens town centre to Knowsley Road on Saturday. It was stage ahead of
tomorrow's planning hearing, where a decision will be taken locally on the stadium scheme.

I am not saying that they will close, bailiffs etc. I am saying that it will affect them and many people, (not all people kv), but a considerable quantity will stop shopping there. If we do not have concrete plans for a stadium and we are stuck at GPW/Knowsley Rd., then we may not get a super-league license from the RFL when the time comes, but it obviously doesn't bother you kv, or Morrisons, as you are not fans. The least I would expect is Morrisons to take the historical pictures of past Saints glories down from their store, given their current stance on the subject, it is an insult to the club and its fans.
Morrisons have had their chance What, shareholders beware the receivers will be moving in tommorow with the balifs in hot pursuit ? Not .

I am now getting annoyed by all this Morrisons baiting. This club may be the most successful in the super league era etc etc, but now has to rely on a corporate behemoth that is Tescos to move on? Morrisons have always been there serving the community and are not land grabbers like Tescos, who in reality dould not care less about St Helens RLFC. It would not matter if it was Pikington recs building a new ground if Tesco could see a profit. This is purely down to a bunch of saints fans being duped that Morrisons are 'the enemy' when the real gangsters are the club that has taken their money for years and years and let its own ground turn into nothing more than a junkyard!!

Sorry kv, I apologise, I was stupid for assuming that being a commited saints fan, you obviously look at the Saints website regularly. You may like to view see the 'misstatements by Morrisons'. People will more reasons to love Morrisons for that!

Big Saints fan - just want a new stadium. The infrastructure is already in place with the link road directly to the M62. Once the stadium is buit this will bring corporate business into the town - and people will spend money in which ever supermarket they choose to shop in. I don't care where the money comes from to build the new stadium I just want the stadium built!!! Roll on the planning committee tomorrow.
