TWICE this week in Rainford I have seen people, with what appears to be an iPhone, held on the top of the steering wheel and touching the screen (as if texting) while the car was in motion.

They were moving quite quickly too. I noticed a woman driving a red car on Scarisbrick Road doing exactly the same this morning at about 8.15am, when there were lots of children making their way to school. Are people so stupid or just asking for someone to be seriously injured or even killed?

I have the registration number, if the police are interested.

There have been so many deaths from people texting or using a cell phone while driving here in the USA, that a law has been passed to make it illegal in some states. Sadly, many of the lives lost have been the young people themselves while texting, but many more innocent drivers who were the victims of those idiots,

Sadly ? Your kidding? It is a sure trait of the sub human. They know the dangers - yet unbelievably think they are to clever for it to happen to them.

how can you be surprised? stand at the side of any major road you will see at least 1 in 5 car driver with the phone to their ear its common. nobody pays any attention to that law,

it will only hit them if they are in an accident and they are found out. the police need to look more at that than hiding around bends trying to catch someone who may or may not be speeding.
