Plagued with flies...
9:28am Thursday 14th June 2012 in News By Reader letter
I WAS preparing my roast dinner this Sunday and was swamped by flies yet again!
I must have killed well over 25 with the help of my husband.
We recently returned from holiday and were shocked to see how many were dead within our living space at home. I cannot believe we are being subjected to so many flies yet again.
I have recently heard waste is being recycled at a local plant and since this has occurred we have had no end of flies. Not just 3 or 4, but 20 plus.
You cannot prepare a meal without flies wanting to join in.
I had a guest for lunch and she was sickened to find one had decided to go onto her roast and die.
When is the environmental health/council going to solve this problem. It is getting out of hand!
Laura Keig, Peckershill Road.
