I AM tremendously disappointed to see yet another store close in St Helens this week. That’s Entertainment closed its doors on Monday and I for one shall miss it.
The range of DVDs and CDs, both old and new, were first rate and a great price, offering a trip down memory lane for those of us who can claim the 1990s as their teenage years.
The staff were always extremely friendly and I hope they’ll be fixed up with other jobs soon.
The closure of the store means there’s one more empty space that the town will have to disguise via an extra stall on market day.
It’s really sad to see store after store close in town, but especially so when it’s a store that had so little competition; if you want to buy a DVD or CD now, the only other option is Cex or the supermarkets out of town – no wonder the stores in town are closing.
